What job did God give you to do for His kingdom?
Are you doing it?

I believe there is a unique flame burning in every heart, ignited by God and blown on by the Holy Spirit. It’s your little light that must shine to the Glory of God.

It is important to know what your job is.

Why? Because of the parable told by Jesus in Matt. 24:45-51.
It’s the story about a servant who was given a job by his master to do while he was away. Upon the master’s unexpected return he found the servant busy doing this job. He was so pleased with this faithful and wise servant that he put him in charge over all his possessions. But he was not so pleased with the wicked servant who decided that his master was taking too long to return and started backsliding.

Go and read 1 Cor. 12, Eph. 4:11-13 and Rom. 12:6-8.
Paul describes us as the body of Christ in 1 Cor. 12:12-31. Just as a body can not be all head or all foot, the body of Christ needs the different bodily parts in order for it to function properly. The one is not more important than the other. All of them are needed. He also mentions in verses 4-11 that there are distinctive varieties of spiritual gifts, ministries, service and ways of working, all given by the same God through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be caught sleeping on the job. When Jesus returns, as He has promised, I want Him to find me hard at work to the glory of His Name.

Let’s fan our little flames and start serving again with love. Then people will see our good works and give glory to our heavenly Farther.

Who are you?

Put God first

“God will open the floodgates of heaven for you. He will bless you abundantly. Blessings and prosperity are already yours. Just claim it, declare it, speak it and prepare to be amazed!” We all love to hear this message from preachers. Sure, it is Biblical. Jesus did say that whatever we ask for in prayer will be ours if we believe that we already have it. We are indeed told that God will open the floodgates of heaven for us. Jesus told us not be concerned about our daily needs because we have a Father in heaven who knows what we need. (Mark 11:24, Mal. 3:10, Matt. 6:31-32) But, this is not all that the Bible says.
