Speaking in tongues

Yes, it’s weird. That’s why it’s always been one of the most debated topics among Christians and non-Christians alike. Is it Biblical? Is it genuine? Is it necessary? Is it a condition to being Spirit-filled? When, where and how should it be practiced? What is it? Before looking for answers to those questions, let me first tell you my story… I was born again at the age of thirteen. Because I was raised in a Christian home and attended Church and Sunday school on a regular basis, I must have heard the Gospel a million times. But, the penny only dropped one night at a Sunday school camp. That evening, in bed, while every one else was asleep, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and gave Him my heart. The next morning I woke up a new person. It was a definite awareness in my soul. All of a sudden every word of the all too familiar Church songs had meaning and brought indescribable joy to my heart. The Bible opened up and I couldn’t stop reading. I would spend hours brow

Are things falling apart?

We know that everything, including us, are made up by zillions of small building blocks, called molecules. Don’t worry, this is not a lesson in science, but in order for us to understand an amazing statement in the Bible, we need to first understand some science. So, what is a molecule? “A molecule is the smallest particle in a chemical element or compound that has the chemical properties of that element or compound. Molecules are made up of atoms that are held together by chemical bonds.” (WhatIs.com) Right, so we see that the molecules are being held together by chemical bonds between the different atoms. I found the following interesting information regarding atoms:  “The nucleus of the atom contains positively charged and neutral particles. Mutual electrostatic repulsion between the positive protons would drive the nucleus apart if it were not for the ‘strong force’ which binds the nucleus together. There is thus an active force imposed on the universe,

Do your job

What job did God give you to do for His kingdom? Are you doing it? I believe there is a unique flame burning in every heart, ignited by God and blown on by the Holy Spirit. It’s your little light that must shine to the Glory of God. It is important to know what your job is. Why? Because of the parable told by Jesus in Matt. 24:45-51. It’s the story about a servant who was given a job by his master to do while he was away. Upon the master’s unexpected return he found the servant busy doing this job. He was so pleased with this faithful and wise servant that he put him in charge over all his possessions. But he was not so pleased with the wicked servant who decided that his master was taking too long to return and started backsliding. Go and read 1 Cor. 12, Eph. 4:11-13 and Rom. 12:6-8. Paul describes us as the body of Christ in 1 Cor. 12:12-31. Just as a body can not be all head or all foot, the body of Christ needs the different bodily parts in order for it t
